409L Stainless Steel Pipes are low-carbon ferritic stainless steel pipes containing mainly chromium (10.5–11.75%) and trace carbon content (max 0.03%) for improved weldability and minimizing carbide precipitation. They can also have trace titanium or niobium for further stabilization. These pipes exhibit medium mechanical strength with tensile strength of 380–450 MPa and yield strength of approximately 170–240 MPa. The reduced carbon content enhances corrosion resistance and formability. SS 409L Pipes have good structural integrity in hot environments and good resistance to oxidation, allowing them to be used under heat-exposed as well as mildly corrosive conditions.
