Duplex Steel Welded Tubing is made up of mostly chromium (21–23%), nickel (4.5–6.5%), molybdenum (2.5–3.5%), and nitrogen, with evenly balanced quantities of manganese, silicon, and iron. It possesses outstanding mechanical characteristics with a tensile strength of 620–880 MPa, yield strength of about 450 MPa and elongation of at least 25%. It physically has a density of 7.8 g/cm³ and melting range of 1350–1450°C. The tube also displays good thermal conductivity and minimal thermal expansion, and so it is highly suited to applications in high-pressure and corrosive conditions in numerous industries.
