Tantalum Pipes consist mainly of high-purity tantalum, generally ≥99.9% Ta, sometimes alloyed with traces of tungsten to provide additional strength and corrosion resistance. Tantalum provides outstanding resistance to most acids, such as hydrochloric and sulfuric acid, even at elevated temperatures. It has a tensile strength of around 207 MPa, yield strength of around 140 MPa, and elongation of around 30%. With a high melting point of 3,017°C and high ductility, tantalum is best suited for the production of seamless pipes utilized in harsh chemical and thermal conditions where dependability is important.
