304L Stainless Steel Pipes are a lower carbon variant of the 304 grade, 18–20% chromium and 8–12% nickel content, along with a limit of 0.03% carbon. With less carbon present, the tendency of carbide precipitation during welding is reduced, making the component more resistant to corrosion in the welded form. These pipes contain excellent mechanical characteristics such as tensile strength = 485 MPa, yield strength = 170 MPa, and elongation = ca. 40%. Stainless Steel 304L has excellent formability and strength coupled with excellent resistance to oxidation and a broad spectrum of corrosive environments and is suitable for fabrication and structural applications.
