Stainless Steel 316 Pipes are a molybdenum-containing grade of austenitic stainless steel, which contains 16–18% chromium, 10–14% nickel, and 2–3% molybdenum. They have their pitting and crevice corrosion resistance increased due to this composition in chloride environments. The pipes possess superior mechanical properties with a minimum tensile strength of 515 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and elongation of approximately 40%.
