Stainless Steel 347H Tubing is an austenitic stainless steel alloy that contains primarily chromium (17–19%), nickel (9–13%), and carbon (0.04–0.10%), to which niobium (columbium) is added for carbide precipitation stabilization. Its increased carbon content over normal 347 gives it increased strength at high temperatures. SS 347H tubing usually has tensile strength of approximately 515–690 MPa and yield strength of 205–275 MPa, with good creep and stress rupture resistance. Its stable structure provides good mechanical properties under long thermal exposure, and it is best for high-pressure, high-temperature conditions where long-term performance and integrity of the structure are needed.
