Stainless Steel 304L Tubing is a low-carbon variant of stainless steel 304 with a maximum carbon level of 0.03%, which has a great effect in lessening the risk of carbide precipitation during welding. It has 18–20% chromium content and 8–12% nickel content, providing very good corrosion resistance and satisfactory mechanical properties. The tubing provides a minimum tensile strength of 485 MPa and yield strength of 170 MPa, with very good ductility and formability. Its low carbon provides greater weldability and is useful in applications where welding is necessary without the sacrifice of corrosion resistance or mechanical strength.
