Stainless Steel 316L Tubing has a chemical composition of Chromium (16–18%), Nickel (10–14%), Molybdenum (2–3%) with low carbon content (≤0.03%) to improve corrosion resistance. Its mechanical properties are tensile strength of approximately 485 MPa, yield strength of 170 MPa (min), and elongation of 40% (min) providing great formability and toughness. It is physically 8.0 g/cm³ in density, has a melting point of about 1375–1400°C, and thermal conductivity of 16.3 W/m·K. These qualities render it best for extreme environments with the need for strength, longevity and resistance to chemicals or heat.
