Stainless Steel 316Ti Tubing is an austenitic stainless steel stabilized by titanium that has improved high-temperature strength and corrosion resistance. Its standard composition is 16–18% chromium, 10–14% nickel, 2–3% molybdenum, and a titanium content of five times the carbon level or more. Its mechanical properties are very good with tensile strength of approximately 550 MPa, yield strength of 240 MPa, and elongation of around 40%. The addition of titanium avoids sensitization during welding and enhances resistance to intergranular corrosion. SS 316Ti tubing finds excellent formability, toughness, and pitting as well as crevice corrosion resistance and is ideal for demanding environments.
