Stainless Steel 321H Tubing is a high-carbon variant of SS 321, which is used to provide enhanced high-temperature strength. It generally has 17–19% chromium, 9–12% nickel, and 0.04–0.10% carbon, along with titanium as a stabilizer. The added carbon content improves creep resistance and mechanical properties at higher temperatures. SS 321H tubing has a tensile strength of about 515 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and elongation of around 40%. It also retains excellent intergranular corrosion and oxidation resistance. These make it very favorable for the use in pressure-containing parts, which are subject to continuous service at high temperatures.
