Stainless Steel 347 and 347H ERW Pipes consist of stabilized austenitic stainless steels with chromium (17–20%), nickel (9–13%), and columbium (niobium) addition, which provides improved resistance against intergranular corrosion. 347H has increased carbon content to have better strength in high temperature environments. Pipes here have tensile strength around 515 MPa, yield strength of about 205 MPa, and elongation of around 35%. Their high temperature mechanical stability and resistance against oxidation allow them to be fit in welded construction structures under conditions involving thermal cycling as well as corrosion, providing structural integrity during stresses.
