Stainless Steel 316 and 316L Seamless Pipes are molybdenum-containing austenitic stainless steels with improved resistance to corrosion. The standard composition consists of 16–18% chromium, 10–14% nickel, and 2–3% molybdenum, with lower carbon content in 316L to enhance weldability and prevent carbide precipitation. These pipes provide mechanical properties of tensile strength of approximately 75 ksi, yield strength of approximately 30 ksi, and superior ductility. Seamless fabrication guarantees strength and uniformity, and the corrosion-resistant composition of the alloy renders these pipes ideal for application in hostile environments, such as acidic and chloride conditions.
