347 and 347H Instrumentation Stainless Steel Tube is stabilized austenitic stainless steel containing 17–20% chromium, 9–13% nickel, and niobium for the added intergranular corrosion resistance. Higher carbon content (0.04–0.10%) of variant 347H provides higher temperature strength. These tubes have very good mechanical properties such as tensile strength of approximately 515 MPa and yield strength of 205 MPa, with a good ductility and toughness. Their high thermal stress stability and resistance to scaling render them perfect for precision instruments utilized in corrosive and high-temperature service conditions.
