321 and 321H Stainless Steel Instrumentation Tubing is stabilized austenitic stainless steel with the major content of 17–19% chromium and 9–12% nickel plus titanium, to avoid intergranular corrosion. 321H has a higher carbon content (0.04–0.10%) for enhanced high-temperature strengths. The tubes have good mechanical characteristics in the form of tensile strength of approximately 515 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and good elongation. Their high resistance to creep and oxidation at high temperatures make them highly suitable for instrumentation use in rigorous industrial conditions.
