Stainless Steel 347 and 347H EFW Pipes are stabilized austenitic stainless steels having columbium (niobium) addition, which helps in improving the resistance to intergranular corrosion. The alloys usually consist of chromium (17–19%), nickel (9–13%), and columbium/tantalum for stabilizing. Type 347H contains more carbon (0.04–0.10%) for better heat resistance at higher temperatures. These pipes have a minimum tensile strength of 515 MPa and yield strength of 205 MPa, as well as remarkable creep resistance and strength. Their solid mechanical and thermal characteristics make them ideal for high-pressure and high-temperature industrial uses.
