Alloy Steel T22 Tubing consists mainly of chromium (2.00–2.50%) and molybdenum (0.87–1.13%), with iron as the base and traces of carbon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, and silicon. This makes it stronger at high temperatures and resistant to corrosion. Mechanically, T22 tubing has superior tensile strength between 415 and 585 MPa and a minimum yield strength of 205 MPa. It also has good elongation (at least 30%) and better creep resistance, and hence it is suitable for boilers, heat exchangers, and pressure vessels that work at high temperatures and severe conditions.
