Alloy Steel T11 tubing is a ferritic low-alloy steel with chromium (1.00–1.50%) and molybdenum (0.44–0.65%) for increased strength and corrosion resistance. It also consists of carbon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, and silicon. T11 tubing has good mechanical properties like high tensile strength, creep resistance, and toughness at higher temperatures. With a yield point of about 415 MPa and tensile strength of around 205 MPa, it is suitable for service in refineries and power plants at elevated temperatures. Being weldable as well as being resistant to oxidation, it finds application in pressure systems.
