Stainless Steel 316H Welded Tubing is a high-carbon variant of the 316 grade with increased mechanical strength and high-temperature resistance. It generally consists of 16–18% chromium, 10–14% nickel, 2–3% molybdenum, and a carbon level of 0.04% to 0.10%. The composition possesses superior resistance against oxidation, pitting, and crevice corrosion. The mechanical properties are tensile strength of 515–585 MPa, yield strength of about 205–240 MPa, and elongation of 35–40%. Welded construction provides uniformity, weldability, and structural integrity, so that 316H welded tubing can be used for severe applications in harsh industrial conditions.
