Stainless Steel 304L Welded Tubing is the low-carbon variant of alloy 304 with 18–20% chromium and 8–12% nickel, up to a maximum of 0.03% carbon. This composition improves corrosion resistance, particularly after welding, by reducing carbide precipitation. The tubing has a minimum tensile strength of 485 MPa and yield strength of 170 MPa, with excellent elongation and ductility. Its welded structure provides a strong and leak-free form, and the low carbon content promotes weldability with a minimized chance of intergranular corrosion, which makes it applicable in many industrial uses.
