Titanium Gr 9 Pipes are manufactured from a nearly 3% aluminum and 2.5% vanadium containing titanium alloy. This alpha-beta alloy provides an uncommon combination of fair strength, very good corrosion resistance, and better formability than other titanium grades. It possesses a nominal tensile strength of around 620 MPa (90,000 psi) and yield strength of around 483 MPa (70,000 psi) with good elongation and ductility. Titanium Grade 9 has great weldability and a density as low as 4.48 g/cm³, and so it is suited for structural applications where reducing weight without weakening the strength is needed.
