Titanium Coil Tubing consists mainly of commercially pure titanium or titanium alloys such as Grade 2 and Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V) containing about 90% titanium with traces of aluminum and vanadium in alloyed grades. It possesses good corrosion resistance, especially in chemical and saltwater environments, along with superior mechanical strength. The tubing possesses up to 950 MPa of tensile and around 880 MPa yield strength in Grade 5. Its high strength, fatigue property, and weldability qualify it for use as continuous lengths coiled, such that it produces effective performance for dynamic and pressurized operating conditions.
