Aluminium 5754 tubes are mostly made of aluminum (more than 95%) with magnesium as the primary alloying component (2.6–3.6%), with traces of iron, silicon, manganese, and chromium. The alloy is excellent in corrosion resistance, particularly in sea water environments, and moderate to high strength. The mechanical properties are tensile strength in the range of 190–330 MPa and yield strength in the range of 80–260 MPa depending upon the temper (H111, H22, H32, etc.). The alloy provides good formability and is very weldable, which makes Aluminium 5754 pipes ideal for fabrication and forming while maintaining structural integrity in severe conditions.
