SA214 Tubes are carbon steel electric-resistance-welded tubes with low carbon content. They consist of about 0.18% carbon, 0.27–0.63% manganese, and small levels of phosphorus (≤0.035%) and sulfur (≤0.035%). The tubes are highly weldable and formable. SA214 tubes mechanically possess at least 380 MPa tensile strength, 205 MPa yield strength, and at least 35% elongation. These characteristics guarantee the tubes work effectively under thermal stress and internal pressure, and thus are well suited for boiler and heat exchanger applications. The tubes are also hydrostatically tested for leak-proof performance and dimensional tolerance.
