A192 tubing is composed principally of carbon steel with a maximum carbon content of 0.18%, manganese up to 0.50–1.06%, and minor phosphorus and sulfur. It is utilized for high-pressure conditions in boilers and heat exchangers. Its mechanical properties include a minimum tensile strength of 325 MPa (47 ksi) and a minimum yield strength of 180 MPa (26 ksi) with good hardness and elongation properties.
