Aluminium 5754 Tubing is in the 5000 series of aluminum alloys and consists mainly of aluminum (approximately 92–95%) and magnesium (2.6–3.6%), with minor quantities of chromium, manganese, and iron. The alloy possesses superior corrosion resistance, especially when used in a marine environment. It possesses a tensile strength of between 190 and 330 MPa and yield strength of approximately 80 to 280 MPa, depending on temper. Aluminum 5754 also exhibits good weldability, fatigue strength, and fair formability.
