Hastelloy C276 Tubing contains a nickel-molybdenum-chromium alloy with additions of iron and tungsten for excellent corrosion resistance. The normal composition contains around 57% nickel, 15–17% molybdenum, 14.5–16.5% chromium, 4–7% iron, and 3–4.5% tungsten. This tube provides tensile strength of about 690 MPa and yield strength of about 283 MPa, with excellent elongation and ductility. Hastelloy C276 retains its mechanical properties over a broad temperature range and in oxidizing and reducing conditions and is suitable for high-stress, high-corrosion duty in a variety of industrial applications.

Hastelloy C276 Tubing is commonly used in highly corrosive operating industries like chemical processing, petrochemical, marine, power generation, and waste treatment. It is most useful in heat exchanger, reactor, pressure vessel, and scrubber fabrication where frequent exposure to aggressive oxidizers, acids, and chloride-contaminated media occurs. Its pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking resistance qualify it for offshore uses and flue gas scrubber systems.
